How I Spent The Weekend
Friday Nigt
Saw the movie Ultraviolet. Bad, bad movie. Had interesting elements and style but suffered from jumbled plot and mixed up and re-used scenes in editing. Pulling the movie to pieces to talk about it made us like it a bit more and want to see the movie we think the director intended to make.
Quote of the night: "The editing of the movie was rather Rubick's Cube-esque."
Saturday Night
After watching several minutes of the White-Girl-Two-Step on the dance floor we decide to bring interpretive dance to the Raq-N-Waq. Dances include the Mr. Miyagi; Amish Life including Barn Raising; Florida Disaster Victim and finally, the Torgo.
Twice the waiter tells us he likes our moves.
Quote of the night: "When the music suddenly changes like that, I become a meerkat."
Sunday Night
After having dinner in Whitby, we arrive late at the Ronce.
Quote from Whitby dinner:
"He found God."
"I didn't know God was missing."
To our surprise and delight, interpretive dance is included in the Oscar ceremonies. We love the attack ads. We critique the gowns and joke how Keira Knightly squeezed to the left of her seat to keep away from Jack Nicholson to her right. We are convinced the 3-6 mafia are either going to wear their oscars on chains around their necks or convert them into car hood ornaments. Oscars: the ultimate in bling.
