Guess I'm in the Mood to Post
TBIT has promised me that if things work out the way we want, we can get a couple of new pets; sweet sweet little rats-aronis. I found where I want to the adopt the tiny mayhem makers. This is a photo of one of her babies.
Look at that widdle face with those shiny eyes and button nose. And those tiny fingies.
If you wonder how Balthazar will react to pet rats, we had two before and he watched them but never ever hurt them. When they were allowed out of their cage to play on the floor, he would sit to one side and tap them with a paw if they came too close. He never used a claw, never tried to bite and meowed to tell us when they tried to escape their play zone. Tigger might have to learn to be gentle but I think she'll get the hang of it quick. She imitates Balthazar rapidly these days. And we are not stupid enough to leave the rats running about without supervision.
Squeee! I hope everything works out. I miss my little ratties with their darling little nubby thumbs.

And that is why Sue was a keeper when we met. She had rats before we got together. They are so damn cute, clean and love to be loved. They're kinda like dogs in their temperment.
We can never have rats again because Sue became incredibly allergic to them. Even to the hairless variety.
We can vist her cousin from time to time and play with her rats.
Happy belated birthday BTW.
