Bakey Bakey

Last night, knowing I would not sleep, I decided I would do some baking. I picked my recipes, gathered the ingredients and then around midnight the baking began.
First I made a batch of Chocolate Cherry Chews. Seemed to turn out well. I haven't eaten any yet and feel no urge to. Funny thing about my baking. After I've made a recipe a few times, I no longer enjoy eating what I've baked.
After they came out of the oven I began on making bread and rolls. I made just plain old white bread that was great fresh out of the oven at 6am this morning. The rolls I chose to make ended up being very sticky cinnamon buns with cranberries (since TBIT hates raisins). I used a sweet bread dough and a very dark sugar so it would melt and get all caramelly. The dough is very nice: softer and sweeter than plain old bread dough. I think they turned out well. In my mind, they are best eaten when warm and with a nice cup of tea. I'll have to make them again and experiment with fillings.
