Hmmm
In one of those random thought moments, I was contemplating my alignment. I've always considered myself Chaotic Neutral then I started thinking. I've most enjoyed playing the Assassin character in Diablo II over the other classes. In WoW, I'm having a ball being a human rogue. Stealth and backstab rock! But I vastly prefer City of Heroes, playing a hero over playing a villain in City of Villains. Then I realized, even while playing a roguish character, I'm always fighting for the side of good. Could instead of Chaotic Neutral, I'm actually Chaotic Good? Ewwwwww.
Nah. Chaotic Neutral with good tendencies. I can live with that.

Neutral Good is my alignment of choice, could be yours too. You could be Chaotic Good if you follow the definition of "doing good by any means necessary".

Who says I want to do good exclusively?
Also, I disagree with you description of Chaotic Good. "By any means" isn't a "Good" trait, IMHO.
