It's my party but I want it OVER
Mr. Sore Throat has invited a couple of his pals over, Mr. Stuffy Head and Mr. Chest Congestion. Mr. Headache drops by every once in a while, usually when I'm most tired.
So I seem to have a head cold with a touch of upper chest cold. These are annoying but I can deal with them. That my throat still feels raw, sore and itchy, I can't deal with. My voice comes and goes and sounds like I have a 3 pack a day cigarette habit. It's been 4 days now and I want it gone. I read on the throat drops packet "if sore throat persists for more tnan 2 days, see your doctor." What kind of advice is that? If I were to show up at my doctor's office complaining I had a sore throat for 2 whole days, she'd glare, frown and tell me to drink hot liquids and gargle with salt water.
I guess I'll give Mr. Sore Throat until Friday. If he hasn't moved on by then, I'll go see a doctor.
