Facebook Freaks Me Out
In the past week, I have been contacted by 5 - count 'em 5 people who I've not been in contact with between 17 and 10 years. Do i want to be in contact with these people? Do I want/care to know how their lives are going? Do I want them to know about my life? If our friendship faded away, maybe there was a reason for it. And if we were never actually friends but mere acquaintances, why would I want to be your "facebook friend?" To pad your friends list? I only signed up for the thing because a friend asked me to. Now I find myself cringing every time I open my mail, wondering what skeleton is going to crawl out of which closet.
